Our Process
A step-by-step plan for doing projects right.

Angle Park's philosophy and hands-on experience meet in its process. While it's never possible to know each and every detail before a project begins, the most successful media projects have one thing in common: They start with a clear objective, which makes it possible to measure both progress and the final product against a standard.

1. Identify the overall goal of the communication.

a. To motivate
b. To educate
c. To sell
d. To train
e. To entertain

2. Identify the intended content of the communication.

a. Primary message
b. Secondary message(s)

3. Identify the target of the communication (the participant).

a. Demographics (age, educational level, occupation, cultural background, physical disability)
b. Past experience
c. Expectations
d. Interest level
e. Motivation to participate in the communication
f. Level of technical expertise

4. Identify the context in which the communication is to occur.

a. Physical context (public or private? captive or open? loud or quiet? bright or dim? traffic flow accessible or restricted, hardware and software)
b. Information contex (will other information precede or follow? will other information surround? is it part of a larger communication initiative?)

5. Design a context sensitive communication approach that creates the most direct link between the content and the target participant.

a. Listen/brainstorm
b. Research
c. Prototype
d. Preliminary testing

6. Execute the design within the time, budget, and logistical constraints.

a. Write
b. Produce
c. Shoot/Record
d. Edit
e. Animate
f. Program
g. Deliver

7. Test the results to see if the design was effective and to see if assumptions were correct.
