Emmi Patient Education System

Rightfield Solutions (now called Emmi Solutions) had a brilliant idea. They called it Emmi. Emmi is an interactive patient education system that takes a completely new approach to the process of "informed consent" that hospitals and doctors use to limit their liability before major surgical procedures. There was only one problem. Emmi didn't exist.

Typically, informed consent is little more than a brief conversation between doctor and patient that ends with the patient signing a liability release just before surgery. Emmi helps document this process, but rather than being exclusively a tool for doctors and hospitals, Emmi also provides accurate and complete information to patients in a calm, reassuring way.

Angle Park worked with Rightfield Solutions and Zün Partners to craft a mocked-up interface. In addition, medical illustrations were incorporated into a video demo that showed potential investors how the product would work in the real world.

According to Rightfield, upon viewing the Emmi demo, a world-renowned investor remarked "that's the best demo I've ever seen!"

We kept the mocked-up interface very simple to illustrate the concept without a lot of unnecessary decoration.
