Babies and the basics A low-budget, high-impact fund raiser Re-purposed photos make the pitch, and stay on budget. | |
Evanston Hospital's Perinatal Family Support Center needed a fund-raising and patient orientation film, but they were operating on a tight budget. They wished to show the center in action, but extensive video shooting was out of the question.
To stretch their dollars as far as possible, a relatively low-cost approach was taken. A photographer had already been hired to document the center's activities over the course of several months. From these stills, dozens of compelling images were found that illustrated the institution's work with families. These photos were also used in print pieces, such as the hospital's annual report, and capital campaign literature.
Gina Pryma wrote the script. Martin produced motion control animation on the images, and edited the final piece.
